A gentle softness and a warm, atmospheric light

Built in 1897 as part of Stockholm’s industrial past, the former factory is now home to designer Mats Broberg. Exposed brick, four-meter ceilings and grid pattern windows rame a calm space shaped by light and form. Romb 48 rests quietly on the sideboard. Turner 65 floats above the round dining table in the kitchen area.

Kandinsky 45

Sphere and spear

In Mats Broberg’s home, Kandinsky 45 hangs above the coffee table — a smoked glass sphere pierced by a brass rod, inspired by abstract circles from the Bauhaus years. The light source is hidden at the centre of the glass. Hand-blown and precisely assembled, it creates a visual balance in the open space. Positioned in relation to Apollo 180, Romb 48 and Turner 65, it becomes part of a quiet composition where each piece is placed with intention.
